Kumar RockerTEX · SP

2026 review

Kumar Rocker was a hard-contact-prone starter who missed enough bats to stay in a rotation but not enough to keep runs off the board: a 4.38 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 148.0 IP, a 21.4 K% and a 9.5 BB% over 645 BF across 30 games and 27 starts for TEX, and his 39.8 Hard% over 442 BBE was the 42nd highest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF. He pitched from Apr 4 through Sep 24. Taken in 446 of 674 drafts at ADP rank 956, he finished 1176th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 220 spots below his ADP rank, 748th of 811 pitchers and 195th of 236 starters. Opposing right-handed batters hit .228/.301/.364 over 279 PA against him while left-handed batters hit .274/.348/.470 over 368 PA. The TDK LABS card leaned on a rough comparison to another pitcher in early May, then by Jul 19 described a stretch of bad starts that pushed him out of the rotation and into relief work, before a one-hit outing days later reversed the slide; by late Sep it described a talented arm capped by a pitch-count ceiling despite competitive fundamentals.
