2026 review

Kyle Higashioka caught in a part-time role for TEX, hitting .218 with a .370 SLG in 165 AB, a .306 OBP, a 25.3 K% and a 10.2 BB% all over 186 PA, with 7 HR and 18 RBI over 56 games. TEX placed him on the 10-day IL on Apr 16, and he missed 2 regular-season days in that 1 stint before his final game came Jul 20; he took a rehab assignment on Sep 4. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 843, he finished 1088th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 245 spots below his ADP rank, and 47th of 103 catchers. The TDK LABS card tracked his limited role: by early May it had him confirmed as the catcher on rest days behind the regular backstop, by mid-Aug it had him on the injured list with no clear return timeline, and by late Sep it still had him on the injured list, rehabbing only as a designated hitter.
