2026 review
Kyle Karros was a modest everyday third baseman who hit .253/.347/.414 over 475 PA for COL across 131 games and 116 starts, with 21 2B, 13 HR, 63 R and 49 RBI. He was placed on the 7-day IL for a concussion on Aug 12, activated Aug 21, placed back on the 7-day IL for a concussion on Aug 23, took a rehab assignment Sep 3, and was activated Sep 7, missing 24 regular-season days across the 2 stints. Undrafted in most terms but taken in 357 of 674 drafts at ADP rank 1165, he finished 233rd of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 932 spots above his ADP rank, and 164th of 660 hitters, 20th of 67 third basemen. He hit .263 over 346 AB before his longest IL stint and just .200 over 65 AB after activation. His best month was Jun at .357 over 70 AB, his worst Apr at .200 over 75 AB. The TDK LABS card had little to say on him in May, then placed him on the injured list with a concussion in early Sep, and by late Sep had him back in the lineup with expected metrics aligning to actual production.
