2026 review
Kyle Stowers was a power-first first baseman whose contact quality outran his batting average, a 56.4 HardHit% over 289 BBE the 4th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA, but a 31.4 K% over 512 PA was the 14th highest of the same 267 hitters. He hit .239/.331/.459 over 512 PA (447 AB) for MIA, with 21 HR, 27 2B, 4 3B, 57 R and 65 RBI, missing time around hamstring strains that cost him 39 regular-season days in 2 stints. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 145, he finished 197th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 52 spots below, and 23rd of 65 first basemen. His .341 wOBA ran 12 points above his .329 xwOBA over 512 PA. The TDK LABS card tracked the gap between contact and results: in early May it flagged his hard contact as elite while his average still lagged, by mid Jul it pointed to a multi-homer game showing off that power, and by late Jul it described a power slump following a strong stretch with the underlying profile seen as intact. By late Sep he was day-to-day with an abdominal issue that kept him out of the season finale.
