2026 review

Lane Thomas hit for more against lefties than righties and could not sustain either for a full year: .224/.318/.383 with a 24.9 K% and an 11.8 BB% over 374 PA across 118 games, 19 2B and 11 HR mixed in with 9 SB. Against left-handed pitchers he hit .262/.364/.440 over 165 PA, against right-handers just .195/.282/.341 over 209 PA. His last game for KCR was Aug 1 and his first for ATL Aug 4, and on Sep 11 he went to the 10-day IL retroactive to Sep 8 with a strained left intercostal muscle, missing 19 regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. The TDK LABS card had him drawing a Monday center-field start in early May with a righty-platoon role expanding, by mid-Aug it had him as a bench bat with fading form, by mid-Aug it also noted his lineup spot with Atlanta, and by late Sep it had him on the 10-day IL undergoing early rehab. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 427 and taken in 478 of 674 drafts, he finished 441st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 14 spots below his ADP rank, and 31st of 70 center fielders.
