2026 review

Lazaro Estrada was a reliever who could not find the strike zone, posting a 5.54 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 13.0 IP with a 15.8 K% and a 17.5 BB% over 57 BF, going 1-1 with 1 SV and 1 BS in 8 games for TOR. He was optioned Mar 21 and recalled Mar 31, then placed on the 15-day IL Apr 5, transferred to the 60-day IL May 28, took a rehab assignment, and was activated Jun 20, missing 76 regular-season days. After that he was optioned and recalled repeatedly through the summer, shuttled between the majors and the minors on Jun 23, Jul 18, Jul 22, Aug 3, Aug 4, Aug 5, Aug 10, Aug 13 and Aug 14, before he was designated for assignment Aug 15 and outrighted Aug 17. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 689th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 405th of 811 pitchers, and 304th of 575 relievers. The TDK LABS card had him on the long-term injured list in late May with the long designation limiting any near-term return, back in the bullpen in mid-Aug with a save despite a light track record amid the back-and-forth roster moves, and off the roster after the Aug 18 outright.
