2026 review
Leo Jiménez was a bench-role infielder whose results lagged what he was hitting into: .199/.306/.259, a 19.6 K% and a 9.3 BB% over 194 PA for MIA, with 2 HR and 18 R across 66 games and 47 starts. Designated for assignment by TOR on Mar 25, he landed with MIA and opened Apr 1, then a concussion sent him to the 7-day IL on May 16 and he was activated May 29 after missing 13 regular-season days. He was designated for assignment again Sep 3 and released Sep 5, closing out Aug 31 as his last game. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 1205th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 47th of 67 third basemen. His .267 wOBA ran 47 points below his .314 xwOBA over 194 PA. The TDK LABS card tracked the same gap through the year: by mid Jul it had him back from the IL showing recent power, by mid Aug it had him as a part-time corner infielder stuck in a cold stretch, and by Sep 3 it was still noting cold contact even with the expected numbers sitting well above the actual line.
