2026 review

Leody Taveras was an up-and-down outfielder who hit for little average but found enough pop and speed to matter: .219/.288/.345 with a 25.7 K% and an 8.5 BB% all over 482 PA, adding 8 HR, 58 R, 56 RBI and 11 SB across 139 games for BAL. He split noticeably by handedness, hitting .232/.303/.405 over 320 PA against right-handed pitchers and just .193/.258/.228 over 162 PA against lefties, and his month-to-month swung hard too, a .292 AVG over 65 AB in Apr against just .133 over 60 AB in Jul. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 941, a rare pick taken in only 44 of 674 drafts, he finished 294th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 23rd of 70 center fielders. The TDK LABS card tracked the swings: by May 8 it flagged a hot streak and strong contact, and by early Aug it had playing time trending up with him reclaiming an everyday role and showing solid contact skills.
