2026 review

Logan O'Hoppe was a light-hitting backup catcher whose year kept getting broken up: he hit .219/.275/.303 with a 24.5 K% and a 6.2 BB% over 274 PA across 85 games for LAA and TEX, with 4 HR and 24 RBI. A left wrist fracture put him on the 10-day IL Apr 26, and he had missed 19 regular-season days by the time he was activated May 15, hitting .205 over 78 AB before that stint and .225 over 173 AB after. He was traded from LAA to TEX on Jul 29, optioned the same day, and then shuttled between the majors and the minors through Aug 23, Sep 12, Sep 26 and Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 231, he finished 1084th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 853 spots below, and 46th of 103 catchers. The TDK LABS card tracked a fading role: in early May it flagged the fractured wrist and a weak contact profile even as he targeted a return, and by mid-Sep it had him as a reserve piece seeing little playing time and offering little pop.
