Luis Arraez was a contact-driven second baseman who barely struck out: 151 games, 596 AB, 185 H, 33 2B, 7 3B, 6 HR, 67 R, 64 RBI and 10 SB for SFG and PHI. He hit .310/.345/.419 with a 4.3 K% and a 5.2 BB% over 655 PA. His 4.3 K% over 655 PA was the 1st lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA, while his 19.4 HardHit% and 1.2 Barrel% over 588 BBE were the 3rd lowest and 4th lowest of that same 267-hitter group. He signed as a free agent with SFG on Feb 10, then changed teams from SFG to PHI, last playing for SFG Aug 2 and first for PHI Aug 4. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 253, he finished 88th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 165 spots above, and 7th of 75 second basemen. His .331 wOBA ran 24 points above his .307 xwOBA over 655 PA, and he hit .354 over 99 AB in Jun against .269 over 104 AB in Aug. The TDK LABS card called it a really strong year in early May, and by early Aug it was still crediting elite contact rates even as his results outran his expected output.
