2026 review

Luis Robert Jr. was a power bat who chased too much and got hurt too often: he hit .221/.300/.407 with a 23.9 K% and 10.4 BB% over 230 PA, with 11 HR, 26 R and 26 RBI in 61 games across NYM and BAL. Traded to NYM on Jan 20, he went to the 10-day IL Apr 30, retroactive to Apr 27, for a lumbar spine disc herniation, was transferred to the 60-day IL May 26, took rehab assignments Jun 30, Jul 8 and Jul 17, and was activated Jul 20, missing 106 regular-season days across that stint and a second 10-day IL placement Sep 6 for left hamstring discomfort. BAL claimed him off waivers from NYM on Aug 31. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 121, he finished 854th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 733 spots below, and 37th of 70 CF. His .311 wOBA ran 10 points below his .321 xwOBA over 230 PA, and he hit about the same after the long IL stint as before it, .224 in 85 AB before and .218 in 119 AB after. The TDK LABS card had him on the 10-day IL with the disc herniation by early May, and by early Sep it was crediting a strong recent stretch after Baltimore claimed him off waivers.
