2026 review
Marcus Semien struggled to get his bat going all year, hitting .215/.280/.340 with a 19.0 K% and an 8.2 BB% over 547 PA, adding 15 HR, 55 R, 49 RBI and 10 SB across 139 games for NYM. A left hip flexor strain put him on the 10-day IL on Jun 25, and after a rehab assignment Jul 12 he was activated Jul 16, missing 21 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 239, he finished 310th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 71 spots below his ADP rank, and 23rd of 75 second basemen. His .276 wOBA ran 24 points below his .300 xwOBA over 547 PA, and the bat barely moved around the injury, .214 over 290 AB before the stint and .216 over 204 AB after. The TDK LABS card tracked the same cold read through the year: in early May it flagged his bat as the roster's biggest concern, by late Aug it had him in a cold streak with his expected numbers running above his actual results, and by late Sep it still had him slumping but leaning on a strong second-half track record.
