2026 review

Matt Wallner had a hard stretch at the plate for Minnesota: .167/.259/.292 with a 39.3 K% and a 7.4 BB% over 135 PA, with 4 HR and 10 RBI across 34 games before he was optioned on May 14. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 294, he finished 1250th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 956 spots below, and 480th of 660 hitters and 60th of 79 right fielders. His .253 wOBA ran 28 points below his .281 xwOBA over 135 PA. The TDK LABS card had him boxed into a tight platoon role benched against right-handers as early as May 8, and by the time he went down it was describing a strong-side platoon bat who no longer had a place in a crowded outfield.
