2026 review
Max Meyer had a strong year in the Miami rotation before a neck injury ended it: a 2.68 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 111.0 IP over 20 games and 20 GS, with a 26.2 K% and an 8.9 BB% over 462 BF, going 9 W and 1 L. He was placed on the bereavement list Jun 22 and activated Jun 25, then placed on the 15-day IL Jul 20, retroactive to Jul 19, with a neck strain, missing 70 regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. Drafted at ADP rank 342 in 534 of 674 drafts, he finished 178th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 164 spots above his ADP rank, and 23rd of 236 starters. His 2.68 ERA ran 1.21 below his 3.89 xERA over 462 BF. The TDK LABS card had him as a strikeout favorite in early May after a shutout outing against the Giants, then by early Jul was flagging that the underlying numbers trailed the shiny ERA during his shutout streak, and by late Sep it still had him sidelined with a lingering neck issue after a long layoff.
