Michael SorokaARI · SP
2026 review
Michael Soroka worked as ARI's starter through an interrupted season, posting a 3.41 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 116.0 IP across 21 GS, with a 24.1 K% and 6.1 BB% over 473 BF, 10 HR allowed, and a 9-5 record. A left glute strain put him on the 15-day IL Jun 20, he took a rehab assignment Aug 4, and he was activated Sep 9 after missing 81 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 425, he finished 230th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 195 spots above, and 32nd of 236 starting pitchers. His 3.41 ERA ran 0.71 below his 4.12 xERA over 473 BF. Right-handed batters managed just .168/.219/.260 over 189 PA against him, left-handed batters .262/.323/.419 over 285 PA. His best month was May at a 1.78 ERA in 30.1 IP, his worst Apr at a 5.61 ERA in 25.2 IP, and he ran a 3.07 ERA in 82.0 IP before the IL stint against a 3.48 ERA in 20.2 IP after activation. The TDK LABS card called a May outing disappointing in tone but not in process, then by Jun 11 had him dealing again with strong command as a mid-rotation arm, and by late Sep had him hitting top gear off a near-shutout with strong strikeout-to-walk numbers.
