2026 review

Miles Mikolas put the ball in play and lived with the damage, a pitcher who did not miss bats but rarely walked anyone: a 5.82 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 116.0 IP with an 11.6 K% and a 4.6 BB% over 498 BF, 137 H and 27 HR allowed across 25 games and 11 GS for WSN after signing as a free agent on Feb 11. His 5.9 SwStr% over 1827 pitches was the 3rd lowest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF and his K% the 5th lowest, while that walk rate was the 14th lowest of the same group. He was suspended on Jul 12, then designated for assignment Aug 12 and released Aug 14, with his last game Aug 11. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1024, he finished 1460th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 574th of 575 relievers. His 5.82 ERA ran 0.35 above his 5.47 xERA over 498 BF, and the months swung hard: a 3.52 ERA in 23.0 IP in May against an 8.46 ERA in 22.1 IP in Apr. By mid-Jun the TDK LABS card had him out of the rotation and working in bulk relief behind an opener; by mid-Aug it had him off the roster.
