2026 review
Mitch Farris was an up-and-down reliever who got hit hard: a 4.05 ERA and 1.48 WHIP in 60.0 IP for LAA, with a 24.4 K% and an 11.2 BB% over 258 BF, and his 40.0 Hard% over 165 BBE was the 38th highest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF. He was optioned Mar 19, recalled Apr 6, optioned Apr 14, recalled Apr 29, optioned Aug 7, and recalled Aug 30, shuttling between the majors and the minors most of the year. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 640, he finished 972nd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 487th of 575 relievers. His 4.05 ERA ran 0.90 below his 4.95 xERA over 258 BF. Left-handed batters managed just .223/.336/.362 against him over 110 PA, while right-handers hit .287/.353/.529 over 150 PA. The TDK LABS card described him in early May as a fill-in arm thrown right into long relief off his Apr 29 recall, and by early Sep it had him as a recent recall in a fluid bullpen with no save or hold equity, a long-relief arm with limited recent volume.
