2026 review

Mitchell Parker was a reliever who couldn't keep the ball in the yard: he posted a 6.58 ERA and 1.49 WHIP in 39.2 IP over 22 games for WSN, with a 19.1 K% and a 7.3 BB% over 178 BF, going 3-3 with 1 SV and 7 HLD against 5 BS. He was optioned Mar 14, recalled Apr 14, then placed on the 15-day IL Jun 29 with left elbow inflammation before being transferred to the 60-day IL Jul 1, missing 90 regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 859, a rare pick taken in 22 of 674 drafts, he finished 1047th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 689th of 811 pitchers and 521st of 575 relievers. His 6.58 ERA ran 1.35 above his 5.23 xERA over 178 BF, and his best month was Apr at a 4.76 ERA in 11.1 IP against a 10.12 ERA in 10.2 IP in Jun. The TDK LABS card had him as a bulk reliever on his recall in early May, but by early Jul it was describing him as facing season-ending elbow surgery, and by late Jul it still had him on the 60-day IL.
