Myles Straw was a slap-hitting outfielder who put the ball in play but rarely hit it hard: he hit .241/.304/.342 with a 13.3 K% and an 8.2 BB% over 330 PA for TOR across 146 games and 74 starts, adding 3 HR and 7 SB. His 25.6 HardHit% and 2.7 Barrel% over 258 BBE were the 12th and 22nd lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA, while his 13.3 K% over 330 PA was the 23rd lowest of that group. Taken in just 35 of 674 drafts, a rare pick, he finished 646th of 1472 overall and 275th of 660 hitters, and 36th of 93 left fielders. Playing time swung by month, from 3 PA in Mar up to 83 PA in Aug before 57 PA in Sep. The TDK LABS card tracked a platoon early on, with Straw drawing leadoff work against southpaws in early May, and by mid Sep had him riding the bench often, with the platoon role capping his volume and the cold barrel contact limiting production, and by late Sep it noted the contact slump was real.
