2026 review

Nathan Lukes was a low-barrel contact outfielder who got more than his contact quality suggested: he hit .277/.327/.387 with a 14.2 K% and a 5.6 BB% over 450 PA for TOR, adding 10 HR and 15 2B, and his 2.5 Barrel% and 29.1 HardHit% over 354 BBE were the 20th lowest and 26th lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. A left hamstring strain put him on the 10-day IL Apr 25, and after a rehab assignment he was activated May 25, missing 30 regular-season days in 1 stint. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1122, he finished 305th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 817 spots above, and 23rd of 79 right fielders. His .317 wOBA ran 24 points above his .293 xwOBA over 450 PA. His best month was Sep at .329 in 79 AB against .225 in 89 AB in Aug. The TDK LABS card tracked the IL stint closely in early May, with no timetable emerging while he sat out, then by early Aug it had him as a contact-first depth outfielder whose recent weeks had cooled, before noting a hot stretch with multiple home runs by late Aug.
