2026 review
Nathaniel Lowe was a steady if unspectacular first baseman this year, a decent bat with strikeouts that piled up more than the power did. He hit .252/.317/.444 with a 23.1 K% and an 8.9 BB% over 429 PA, with 17 HR, 38 R and 64 RBI across 126 games and 101 starts for CIN and CLE. He signed a minor league contract Feb 14, had his contract selected by CIN Mar 23, and was traded from CIN to CLE Aug 3, playing his last game for CIN Aug 2 and his first for CLE Aug 4. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1156, he finished 271st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 885 spots above, and 27th of 65 first basemen. The TDK LABS card tracked him closely: in early May it flagged a hot power run in CIN's park air, by late Jul it had him as spotty depth at first, by early Sep it had the lefty bat sitting against southpaws, and by late Sep it was calling the recent numbers a slump while still pointing to solid underlying contact.
