2026 review
Nick Lodolo was a strikeout arm who spent much of the year hurt: he posted a 4.97 ERA and 1.48 WHIP in 108.2 IP with a 17.1 K% and a 9.5 BB% over 486 BF for CIN across 21 starts. A left index finger blister put him on the 15-day IL retroactive to Mar 23, he took 3 rehab assignments before activating May 8, then the same blister sent him back down Jul 12 for a stint that ran through an Aug 5 rehab assignment and an Aug 11 activation, 74 regular-season days missed across 2 stints. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 128, he finished 1366th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 1238 spots below, and 217th of 236 starting pitchers. His 4.97 ERA ran 1.50 below his 6.47 xERA over 486 BF, and his best month was Jul at a 2.45 ERA in 11.0 IP against a 7.71 ERA in 16.1 IP in Aug. The TDK LABS card tracked the finger trouble throughout: back in the rotation with no limitations in early May, a rough return with early homers but sharp whiffs and command after the Aug comeback, and by late Sep the card was pointing to strand rates as the reason his ERA looked as good as it did.
