2026 review

Nick Yorke was a part-time third baseman who never found room in the lineup: he hit .212/.284/.279 with a 22.2 K% and a 7.7 BB% over 117 PA for PIT across 40 games, with 1 HR and 12 RBI. He shuttled between the majors and the minors on May 2, May 8, May 18, Aug 16 and Sep 6, playing his last game Sep 5. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1206, he finished 1254th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 51st of 67 third basemen. His .258 wOBA ran 31 points below his .289 xwOBA over 117 PA. The TDK LABS card charted the roster squeeze directly: in mid-May it had him optioned with third base fully ceded to another player and the path back closing, then optioned again once a brief recall window closed, before turning by late Aug to an activated infielder stringing together starts and by early Sep to a returning player drawing regular time at third after a good start to that stretch.
