2026 review
Nolan McLean anchored NYM's rotation all year, making 31 starts and throwing a 3.16 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 179.2 IP, going 12-10 with a 26.0 K% and a 9.4 BB% over 747 BF. He handled right-handed hitters well, .163/.258/.241 over 293 PA, but left-handers hit him harder at .247/.332/.388 over 455 PA. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 91, he finished 169th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 78 spots below, 40th of 811 pitchers and 21st of 236 starters. His 3.16 ERA ran 0.47 below his 3.63 xERA over 747 BF. His best month was Jul at a 1.78 ERA in 30.1 IP and his worst was May at a 6.10 ERA in 31.0 IP. The TDK LABS card read the May dip as a rare hiccup, then by early Aug had him pitching to his best recent form even with his ERA running below what his contact quality suggested, and by late Sep it flagged a rough patch after he'd allowed runs in an outing.
