Orion KerkeringPHI · RP
2026 review
Orion Kerkering was a setup reliever who missed bats but gave some of it back in free passes, striking out a 23.5 K% while walking a 12.7 BB% over 268 BF, with a 4.97 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 58.0 IP across 63 games, 7 W, 2 SV and 17 HLD. A right hamstring strain sent him to the 15-day IL retroactive to Mar 22, he took a rehab assignment Mar 28 and was activated Apr 7, missing 13 regular-season days, then he was optioned Sep 20 after his last game Sep 19. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1304, he finished 726th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 329th of 575 relievers. His 4.97 ERA ran 1.10 above his 3.87 xERA over 268 BF. The TDK LABS card's read climbed and then cooled: by early May it already had him quietly entering the high-leverage mix as a save target, by Jul 5 it had him elevated to primary setup after the closer missed time, and by mid Sep it had him with back-to-back saves but no outing in over a week, the extra rest resetting his workload clock.
