2026 review
Owen Caissie hit for power but struck out at an extreme rate, going .220/.288/.412 with a 37.3 K% and an 8.2 BB% over 330 PA for MIA, with 14 HR and 45 R over 108 games. A right calf strain put him on the 10-day IL Jul 9, he took a rehab assignment Jul 28, and he was activated Aug 1 before a lumbar stress reaction sent him back to the 10-day IL Sep 13, missing 37 regular-season days across the 2 stints. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 383, he finished 303rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 80 spots above, and 22nd of 79 right fielders. His 37.3 K% over 330 PA was the highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA, but his 14.2 Barrel% over 176 BBE was the 18th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. He hit .239 over 218 AB before the calf strain and just .164 over 73 AB after he came back. The TDK LABS card tracked the swings: a homerless stretch with a very high strikeout rate in early May, rookie outfield power with legitimate pop by late Jun, righties-only platoon depth by late Aug, and by late Sep back on the 10-day IL with a lumbar issue and uncertain playing time.
