2026 review

Owen Murphy was a fringe relief arm who shuttled through Atlanta's bullpen without settling in: across 5 games and 1 start he posted a 6.00 ERA and 1.67 WHIP in 12.0 IP, with a 16.1 K% and a 5.4 BB% over 56 BF, allowing 4 HR along the way. His contract was selected Jul 6, and he bounced between ATL and an option the next day, Jul 7, then got recalled Jul 11 and optioned again Jul 19 before a second recall Sep 14 and a final option Sep 23. He threw 6.2 IP over 3 games in Jul and 5.1 IP over 2 games in Sep. The TDK LABS card tracked him as org depth throughout: long-relief filler in a linear bullpen in early Jul, a rotation-slot call-up after his first outing by mid-Jul, and by late Sep still a fresh call-up in deep-league territory with mediocre command. Undrafted in the regular sense, he was taken in just 17 of 674 drafts at ADP rank 845, and he finished 839th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 531st of 811 pitchers and 405th of 575 relievers.
