Patrick Corbin was a fringe arm who couldn't put hitters away, his 23.4 CSW% over 1413 pitches the 27th lowest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF. Signed by TOR on Apr 3 and recalled Apr 7, he went 3-4 with a 5.51 ERA and 1.54 WHIP in 80.0 IP over 19 games, 15 of them starts, striking out 63 and walking 25, a 17.5 K% and a 6.9 BB% over 360 BF. A left teres major strain put him on the 15-day IL Jul 23, retroactive to Jul 22, and he was transferred to the 60-day IL Aug 5, missing 67 regular-season days in that stint. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 946, he finished 1288th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 210th of 236 starting pitchers. He moved from the rotation to the bullpen on Jul 1, and the results only got worse, an 8.18 ERA in 11.0 IP in relief after a 5.09 ERA in 69.0 IP as a starter. Right-handers hit him hard, .318/.378/.525 over 262 PA against .253/.303/.341 over 100 PA for lefties, and his best month was May at a 3.60 ERA in 30.0 IP against an 8.69 ERA in 19.2 IP in Jun. The TDK LABS card grouped him among the fringy arms in early May.
