Pete Crow-Armstrong was an elite all-around center fielder this year, the kind who backs speed and defense with real power: he hit .280/.372/.570 with a 25.8 K% and an 11.4 BB% over 726 PA for CHC, piling up 45 HR, 119 R, 107 RBI and 41 SB across 162 games. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 30, he finished 1st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 29 spots above, and 1st of 70 center fielders. His 13.3 Barrel% over 444 BBE was the 26th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA, and his .400 wOBA ran 26 points above his .374 xwOBA over 726 PA. He hit .381 over 105 AB in Jun against just .233 over 103 AB in May. The TDK LABS card tracked the power arriving on top of the known floor: by early May it noted him homering in back-to-back games, by Jun it called the floor speed and defense while saying the bat had stopped slumping and the power had caught up to the profile, and by late Sep it described a campaign hitting its stride with the rate production slightly outpacing the expected numbers.
