2026 review

Peter Lambert was a durable rotation innings-eater for HOU, working 29 starts and posting an 8-10 record with a 3.82 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 155.2 IP, a 23.2 K% and an 8.9 BB% over 664 BF. He signed a minor league contract Mar 27 before HOU selected his contract Apr 17, and he made every one of his 29 starts from there through Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 458, a rare pick taken in just 7 of 674 drafts, he finished 489th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 76th of 236 starting pitchers. He posted a 1.88 ERA in 28.2 IP in Jul and a 5.76 ERA in 29.2 IP in Aug. The TDK LABS card followed him from a pitcher fighting through tough at-bats in early May to, by late Sep, a quietly valuable late-season piece who became useful through volume.
