2026 review

Peter Strzelecki bounced around before landing with St. Louis, posting a 5.79 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 14.0 IP across 8 games, with a 13.1 K% and a 9.8 BB% over 61 BF. He signed a minor league contract with Milwaukee on Feb 9, had his contract selected May 16, was designated for assignment the next day and outrighted, then signed minor league deals with the Yankees and Milwaukee again before signing with STL on Jul 25 and getting his contract selected Jul 28. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 733rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 335th of 575 relievers. Right forearm extensor inflammation put him on the 15-day IL Aug 27, retroactive to Aug 26; he took a rehab assignment Sep 8 and was activated Sep 16, only to be designated for assignment that same day and outrighted Sep 18, missing 21 regular-season days in the stint. The TDK LABS card followed him through the shuffle, from long relief depth after the call-up in late Jul, to middle-relief depth by mid Aug, to long relief with no leverage by late Aug, and rehabbing from forearm inflammation by mid Sep.
