2026 review
Rafael Devers hit for real power this year, and the contact backed it up: his 51.6 HardHit% over 401 BBE was the 16th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. Across 148 games he hit .258/.340/.525 in 558 AB with a 25.4 K% and a 10.9 BB% over 633 PA, going deep 37 times with 98 RBI and 88 R, though he struck out 161 times against 69 BB. He was placed on the 60-day IL Apr 16 with a core muscle injury and missed 1 regular-season days before being activated Apr 17. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 62, he finished 31st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 31 spots above, and 5th of 65 first basemen. His .367 wOBA ran 25 points above his .342 xwOBA over 633 PA. He hit right-handers hard, .303/.392/.635 over 413 PA, but managed just .178/.241/.332 over 220 PA against lefties. His best month was May at .306 over 108 AB against .196 over 102 AB in Apr, and the TDK LABS card tracked that swing: it had a mini-slump ending in early May on an RBI double and a walk, then by mid-Jun it was describing a cold stretch with strikeouts up and contact quality thinning.
