2026 review
Ramón Urías barely got going at the plate this year, and an elbow injury swallowed the middle of his season: in 43 games and 24 starts he posted a .151 AVG and a .326 SLG in 86 AB with a .260 OBP, an 18.0 K% and a 9.0 BB% over 100 PA, adding 4 HR, 9 RBI and 14 R. Signed as a free agent on Feb 21, he went on the 10-day IL May 5 with right elbow lateral epicondylitis, took rehab assignments Jun 4, Jul 25 and Aug 4, was transferred to the 60-day IL Jun 12, and was not activated until Aug 23, missing 110 regular-season days in the stint; he was designated for assignment Sep 16 and released Sep 18. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1257, taken in 238 of 674 drafts, he finished 1246th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 48th of 67 third basemen. His .265 wOBA ran 37 points below his .302 xwOBA over 100 PA. The TDK LABS card tracked the injury, flagging the elbow placement by May 8, a rehab assignment off the 60-day IL by mid-Aug, and a return to a platoon infield role by early Sep, with mid-Sep calling him a platoon third baseman working through a cold stretch at the plate.
