Ranger SuárezBOS · SP
2026 review
Ranger Suárez had a solid season on the mound for BOS, posting a 3.22 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 148.1 IP with a 22.9 K% and a 7.5 BB% over 612 BF, going 8-5 with 10 HR allowed and 140 SO across 28 starts. Signed as a free agent Jan 21, he was placed on the 15-day IL Jul 6 with a left groin strain and activated Jul 26, missing 20 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 172, he finished 274th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 102 spots below, 92nd of 811 pitchers, and 42nd of 236 starting pitchers. His ERA ran 0.41 below his 3.63 xERA over 612 BF. He was sharper before the IL stint, a 3.15 ERA in 91.1 IP, than after it, a 3.32 ERA in 57.0 IP, and his best month was Sep at a 1.09 ERA in 24.2 IP against a 5.70 ERA in 23.2 IP in Aug. The TDK LABS card read his Toronto start in early May as a bounce-back from the rough outing before it, then by late Jul had his stuff reading well with velocity trending up and command sharp just after his activation, and by late Sep had him working down the stretch with a strike-throwing profile.
