2026 review

Riley Greene was a power hitter for DET who barreled the ball at a high level, hitting .280/.370/.474 with a 26.5 K% and a 12.0 BB% over 592 PA, adding 21 HR, 32 2B and 75 RBI over 140 games. A right hamstring strain sent him to the 10-day IL on Aug 12; he took a rehab assignment Aug 29 and was activated Sep 1 after missing 20 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 73, taken in 674 of 674 drafts, he finished 67th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 6 spots above his ADP rank, 52nd of 660 hitters, and 7th of 93 left fielders. His 14.8 Barrel% over 359 BBE was the 15th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. He hit .320 over 103 AB in May and just .235 over 85 AB in Jul, then .273 over 422 AB before the IL stint and .315 over 89 AB after he came back. The TDK LABS card tracked the swings: his power stroke drew notice in early May, the summer slump by early Aug read as out of step with strong underlying contact, a clear path back by late Aug, and after activation in late Sep a note that the power had cooled over the recent stretch.
