2026 review
Robby Ahlstrom worked mostly low-leverage innings and struggled to miss bats or throw strikes: a 6.08 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 37.0 IP over 42 games for TEX, with a 20.7 K% and 9.1 BB% over 164 BF, 3 W, 1 L and 7 HLD. His contract was selected Jun 1, and after that he shuttled between the majors and the minors on Aug 27, Aug 31, Sep 18 and Sep 26. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 951st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 477th of 575 relievers. His 6.08 ERA ran 1.76 above his 4.32 xERA over 164 BF, and he posted a 4.09 ERA in 11.0 IP in Jun against a 7.94 ERA in 11.1 IP in Aug. The TDK LABS card followed the same track: in early Jun it had him as a direct bullpen fill fresh off his debut, by Aug it had him as fringe setup on thin coverage, and by mid-Sep it had him barely holding a roster spot over the alternative, with little work and no path to a save or hold. By late Sep it still had him back in the mix for middle relief in a pen it called fluid.
