Robert GarcíaTEX · RP

2026 review

Robert García was a shoulder-limited reliever who missed most of the year: over 20 games he posted a 2.41 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 18.2 IP for TEX, with a 15.5 K% and a 12.7 BB% over 71 BF, picking up 2 W, 5 HLD and 1 BS. He was placed on the 15-day IL Apr 23 retroactive to Apr 20 with left shoulder inflammation, transferred to the 60-day IL Jun 1, took a rehab assignment Sep 5, and was activated Sep 7, missing 140 regular-season days in the stint. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 274, he finished 457th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 183 spots below, and 141st of 575 relievers. His work sat at the edges of the season, 2.2 IP over 3 games in Mar and 5.1 IP over 6 games in Apr before the shoulder shut him down, then 10.2 IP over 11 games once September arrived. The TDK LABS card tracked the long wait: in mid-May it had him still on the throwing program working toward long toss with a multi-week runway left, and by late September, once activated after the extended absence, it had him taking on an early-inning role.
