2026 review

Rodolfo Durán was a light-hitting emergency catcher who struggled to make contact: he hit .146/.222/.305 with a 26.4 K% and a 7.7 BB% over 91 PA for SDP, with 3 HR over 82 AB. His contract was selected May 7, he was optioned Jul 17, recalled Jul 20, and optioned again Aug 4. Undrafted, he finished 1311th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 525th of 660 hitters, and 75th of 103 catchers. He played most in May with 12 games and 28 PA, still 17 games and 45 PA in Jun, before tailing off to 10 games and 18 PA in Jul. The TDK LABS card described his debut in mid-May, then by late Jun had him losing playing time as emergency depth once Fermin was activated, and by Jul 20 it flagged a brutal contact profile, though by Aug 2 it noted the expected-stat benchmarks looked better than the results.
