2026 review

Royce Lewis played first base every day for MIN but never got the results to match, going 105-for-463 with a .227 AVG and a .380 SLG in 463 AB, a .287 OBP, a 25.5 K% and a 7.5 BB% over 509 PA, adding 15 HR, 51 R, 57 RBI and 16 SB. A left knee sprain sent him to the 10-day IL on Apr 11, retroactive to Apr 10, and after a rehab assignment Apr 18 he was activated Apr 21, missing 11 regular-season days; he was later optioned May 19 and recalled Jun 6. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 195, he finished 231st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 36 spots below, 163rd of 660 hitters and 25th of 65 first basemen. His .292 wOBA ran 14 points below his .306 xwOBA over 509 PA. By early May the TDK LABS card had him benched after a rough stretch following his return from the IL; by early Jul it had him cooling off after a hot return, then benched again after a brief slump; by late Sep it had him cold at the plate.
