2026 review
Ryan Jeffers caught in a timeshare that turned into an everyday job, then lost a chunk of the middle of it. He hit .256/.353/.461 with a 17.9 K% and a 12.5 BB% over 369 PA in 92 games (83 starts) for MIN, with 14 HR, 49 R and 56 RBI. A left hamate bone fracture put him on the 10-day IL on May 19, he took a rehab assignment Jul 3, and he was activated Jul 10 after missing 52 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 237, he finished 268th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 31 spots below, and 10th of 103 catchers. His bat cooled some after the layoff, .295 over 122 AB before the stint against .231 over 195 AB after, and his year bookended with a .324 mark over 68 AB in Apr against just .182 over 66 AB in Sep. By early May the TDK LABS card had him consolidating the starting job as the other catcher faded into part-time work, and by late Jul it was describing an elite offensive pace off the bench since his return from the hamate injury.
