He played every month from Mar through Sep, with usage climbing from 22 PA in Mar to a peak 126 PA in Aug before 101 PA in Sep. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 193, he finished 15th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 178 spots above, and 2nd of 65 first basemen. The TDK LABS card charted a rookie breakout the whole way: by May 8 it had him anchoring an elite contact profile on a historic early pace with speed value mixed in, by mid Jul the breakout was accelerating on hard contact, by late Jul it was confirmed by his power output, and by late Sep it still had him carrying a strong season-long profile built on elite power, though it flagged his contact rates had cooled significantly by then.
