Sam Antonacci was a contact-and-speed leadoff type who got on base steadily all year: he hit .277/.370/.396 with a 14.7 K% and a 7.7 BB% over 557 PA for CHW, adding 8 HR and 20 SB, after his contract was selected Apr 15. He hit far better against right-handed pitchers, .289/.378/.427 over 444 PA, than against lefties, .224/.333/.265 over 115 PA. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1008, he finished 112th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 11th of 93 left fielders. His best month was Sep at .321 over 78 AB against .226 over 93 AB in Aug. The TDK LABS card tracked him from a fill-in starter in early May, to an everyday leadoff hitter with an elite contact and speed profile by mid Aug, through a cold stretch by late Sep, and back to multi-hit form in the final days of Sep while holding down the leadoff spot.
