2026 review
Sam Moll pitched almost entirely in middle relief for CIN in 2026, posting a 4.79 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP in 56.1 IP over 65 games, with a 21.8 K% and an 11.7 BB% over 257 BF, 5 HR allowed and 4 BS against 1 SV and 7 HLD, before CIN designated him for assignment Sep 6 and released him Sep 8. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 1017th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 666th of 811 pitchers and 505th of 575 relief pitchers. His 4.79 ERA ran 0.31 above his 4.48 xERA over 257 BF. Left-handed batters hit .216/.308/.293 against him over 136 PA, while right-handed batters hit .293/.408/.475 over 122 PA. The TDK LABS card had him in early May as pure middle-relief usage with no leverage trajectory after a meatball gave up a rookie's first career homer, by late Jul as a veteran lefty reliever in a deep pen whose matchup-dependent role kept his value to ratios only, and by early Sep as a middle-relief lefty coming off a blown save.
