2026 review

Samad Taylor hit .316/.390/.408 with a 25.7 K% and a 10.3 BB% over 175 PA for SDP across 47 games, adding 2 HR and 13 SB in 152 AB. Outrighted by SEA in January and signed to a minor league deal with SDP, he had his contract selected Jun 3, then went on the 10-day IL Jul 8 for a right oblique strain, took a rehab assignment Aug 18, and was activated Aug 30 after missing 53 regular-season days. Drafted in just 1 of 674 drafts at ADP rank 529, he finished 608th of 1472 overall and 270th of 660 hitters in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 35th of 93 left fielders. His .356 wOBA ran 47 points above his .309 xwOBA over 175 PA, and he hit .330 over 88 AB before the IL stint against .297 over 64 AB after he came back. The TDK LABS card had him role-undefined right after his call-up in early Jun, still uncertain on his timeline during the oblique rehab in mid-Aug, then by late Sep was describing him as a speedster in everyday time who had picked up steam with hits and stolen bases in the season's final weeks.
