Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 493, he finished 1283rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 73rd of 103 catchers. The TDK LABS card described him in early May as pure backup-catcher churn after the selection; by late Jul it had him on the injured list rehabbing the hamate fracture; by late Aug it still had no clear return timeline for him.
