A right knee sprain put him on the 10-day IL Mar 25, retroactive to Mar 22, he took a rehab assignment Apr 3, and was activated Apr 10, missing 16 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 101, he finished 40th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 61 spots above, and 5th of 79 right fielders. His 12.8 BB% over 634 PA was the 25th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. His .366 wOBA ran 26 points above his .340 xwOBA over 634 PA, and he hit far better against left-handers, .309/.429/.537 over 168 PA, than against right-handers, .257/.345/.452 over 466 PA. The TDK LABS card had him breaking out with his first homer and multi-hit games stacking in early May, was praising his production and contact by late Aug, and by late Sep noted his power had cooled early even as recent contact showed life, with a hit streak running as an everyday bat.
