Shaun Anderson bounced through the Angels organization all year without settling into a role, a 7.65 ERA and 1.75 WHIP in 20.0 IP with a 18.3 K% and a 10.8 BB% over 93 BF across 12 games. He was selected, designated for assignment, outrighted, and re-signed on a minor league deal in that pattern on Mar 29, Apr 26, Apr 28 and Apr 29, then again on Jun 3, Jun 5, Jun 7 and Jun 8, before being selected again Aug 4 and sent to the 15-day IL Aug 10 with right shoulder inflammation, costing him 19 regular-season days before his Aug 29 activation was immediately followed by another designation for assignment. The TDK LABS card tracked the going-nowhere arc: by early Jun it had him back in the pen but slotted as bottom-tier long relief with no leverage attached, and by early Sep it was marking him down again after the failed stint off the injured list. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 992nd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 645th of 811 pitchers, and 495th of 575 relievers.
