Spencer ArrighettiHOU · TOR · SP
2026 review
Spencer Arrighetti missed bats at a fair clip, but he could not find the plate: a 4.96 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 110.2 IP with a 21.5 K% and a 13.0 BB% over 492 BF across 24 games and 19 GS, and that walk rate was the 50th highest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF. He was optioned Mar 23 and recalled Apr 15, then went on the 15-day IL Jul 25 with right foot nerve irritation, was traded from HOU to TOR on Aug 3 while still out, took a rehab assignment, and was activated Aug 21 having missed 27 regular-season days; TOR optioned him Sep 21. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 461, he finished 1033rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 572 spots below, and 165th of 236 starting pitchers. The ride was jagged month to month, a 0.93 ERA in 29.0 IP in May and a 9.00 ERA in 25.0 IP in Jun, and he was rougher late, a 4.60 ERA in 88.0 IP before the IL stint and a 6.35 ERA in 22.2 IP after he came back. His 4.96 ERA ran 0.34 below his 5.30 xERA over 492 BF. He moved from the rotation to the bullpen on Sep 12. The TDK LABS card tracked it plainly: in late Aug it had him shelved with the foot, and by mid-Sep it had him working relief rather than starting.
