2026 review

Spencer Jones was a swing-and-miss center fielder who could still turn it on: he hit .245/.312/.429 with a 36.3 K% and an 8.7 BB% over 289 PA for NYY, with 11 HR, 10 SB and 105 SO in 86 games. He shuttled between the majors and the minors on Mar 9, May 8, May 22, Jun 5, Jul 4, Jul 22, Jul 23 and Jul 26 before settling into everyday work, going from 8 games and 21 PA in Jul to 28 games and 100 PA in Aug and 21 games and 88 PA in Sep. Drafted at ADP rank 1039, he finished 359th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 680 spots above, and 26th of 70 center fielders. The TDK LABS card traced the arc from debut jitters in early May, through a bout of food poisoning in early Jul, to a broad offensive surge by mid Sep, before noting a recent cold stretch by late Sep.
