Tanner BanksPHI · RP

2026 review

Tanner Banks was a lefty bulk reliever whose year got derailed: 32 games with 1 GS, a 6.19 ERA and 1.84 WHIP in 36.1 IP for PHI, with a 21.6 K% and an 8.5 BB% over 176 BF. He was optioned Jun 18, recalled Jul 4, then placed on the 15-day IL Jul 9 with a left forearm strain, transferred to the 60-day IL Jul 25, took a rehab assignment Aug 26, and was activated Sep 13, missing 66 regular-season days in that stint. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 1198th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 558th of 575 relievers. His 6.19 ERA ran 1.98 above his 4.21 xERA over 176 BF. The TDK LABS card had him as the lefty piece of a closer committee in early May, noted him recalled by early Jul, and by late Sep had him back off the lengthy IL stint with an ERA it read as out of line with his other numbers.
